Re the developing biomechs.
After Kahreen has been captured by Malestrom.
The rest of the group are on the run from the JK. Mourning the loss of two of their members
Somehow they learn that the JK has ordered the destruction of the developing third generation. The group decide to try and save some of them…maybe Rufus has some underground connections or there are biomechs willing to shelter them. The decision is made to try and save those at Quade’s facility…some way to honour Quade.
When they get there the destruction has begun in one part of the complex…there is one area still left untouched and Kymon and Tethis go in and start loading the tubes into a van...there’s one left to go...Rhian. That is when the JK arrive…there is no way to load her tube up. However Kymon isn’t willing to let her remain there…he grabs something and smashed open the tube and grabs the young biomech…he flees with her.

Fleeing from the facility.
Kymon and Tethis are on some kind of vehicle…racing away from the JK. The young biomechs are aboard. Suddenly a bright light appears and a much larger craft looms before them. Tethis tries to avoid a collision but the vehicle overturns…Kymon, who was in the back with Rhian is thrown from the vehicle.
Tethis is the first to recover…he looks in the back…the tubes are still intact. He can’t see Kymon. However
Switch to seeing Kymon lying a short distance from the crashed vehicle. It seems that he shielded Rhian from the impact and the young biomech is sitting beside him...bewildered and not knowing what is going on…a shadow falls over her and Kymon and she looks up.
Tethis sees Kymon and Rhian…and someone, it must be a biomech because he certainly doesn’t look human – standing over them. The biomech is reaching down towards them.
For the second time in his existence Tethis feels real fear…but it is not for the young biomech…it is for Kymon.
Tethis tells him to ‘leave them alone…and he draws a weapon and points it at the ‘mech’.
In return the ‘mech’ levels a weapon at Kymon…telling Tethis to stop thinking like a human for a moment. To listen to the other voices within him. The other humans are coming he says, Tethis’ vehicle is wrecked. It won’t carry the young ones to safety. It won’t carry this one to safety.
You can save one but not all. I can carry the young ones to where they will not be threatened. I cannot take you. You must make a choice.
Tethis choses Kymon, leaving the young biomechs to an uncertain fate. But somehow part of him knows that they have a better chance now than when they were with him.
The stranger loans him a craft...one Tethis hasn’t really seen before but he manages to work out how to use it.
As he senses the approach of the JK he loads the injured Kymon onto the craft and speeds away. Never once looking back.
Reunited with Rufus, Arianne and Rowanne. Kymon’s recovery.
They’ve gone into the Riverwind province…Kymon’s home. Riverwind is a place where the JK have no jurisdiction, no power to act. The use of technology is not the same as in Kastle…technology is used to back up everyday life…not to control it as is the case of Kastle and many of the other provinces on Kithan.
Here we meet the wyvern riders and Kymon’s sister who, by the way is not happy to see her brother at all and even less happy to see the biomechs that accompany him. Kymon’s parents separated after Kymon’s accident and his mother took his younger sister and fled to a place where biomechs would not possibly end up at. As far as she was concerned her son died and something took his place.
Kymon’s sister knows none of this, all she knew was that she had a brother and while he was not dead like their mother said she really hasn’t been too interested in finding out more about him.
