About Dragonfire.

Are you comfortable? Got coffee or snacks at hand? Good. Then I'll begin.

This is the section of the site where I ramble on for a while about the Dragonfire saga.

What is the Dragonfire Saga?

The saga is basically a series of stories that revolve around the members of the Bioheaven investigations group and the world around them. Well to be more specific how they deal with and try to survive in a climate that isn't too healthy for their kind.

Where is it set?

A long time ago in a galaxy far far away...well not exactly that, but the Dragonfire stories are set on an alternate earth type planet a few centuries ago. Kithan has a large red sun and two moons and is mostly covered in water save for a large continent in the northern hemisphere and numerous smaller islands in the south.

Is it suitable for young kids to read?

Umm probably not...with the more adult language and the number of heads that are lopped off in the stories these stories are best read by people who can handle such things.

Why choose biomechs as the main protagonists?

I find something alluring about exploring the minds of creatures who by all means could be human but are not. There are a few human protagonists too but since this tale is mainly about the biomechs I like to focus on them. Well Kymon is an exception but that's just because the boy has so many interesting things lined up for him. I think a good way to see how much a writer likes a character is how much time they put in to torturing them.

How long has the Saga been in production?

How long is a piece of string?  As far as I can remember Dragonfire has been around since 1994. At least that's the version that most closely resembles the version out today. In 1996 I actually posted some stories out on the internet although those have now been extensively re-written and couldn't really be called the same stories I now have.

Anyway the best thing to do to really find out all you can is to read the stories so go on shoo! the main page is this way.
